Sara Walli
LMT, CMLDT
Sara received her massage training in 2009 from the Center for Massage and Natural Health in Asheville, North Carolina. She found much joy in helping others feel their best and has been massaging ever since. Sara has had the opportunity to work across several states in a variety of studios, exposing her to a wide range of clientele and talented therapists to learn from. She finds that those experiences help her connect with her wonderful clients, as well as offer a diverse massage skill set in her practice. With a bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of Georgia, Sara started her massage career specializing in deep tissue, sports massage and myofascial release. Massage cupping quickly became a favorite tool and she often incorporates it into her sessions. After finding that mothers-to-be were often overlooked at massage studios, Sara became certified in prenatal bodywork to help them move through such a monumental life event with more ease and comfort. Recently she obtained her certification in manual lymphatic drainage which aims to support the health of our lymphatic system.
Over the years she appreciates more and more how truly interconnected our bodies are, including our mind. To help her clients’ nervous systems shift into a deeply relaxed state, Sara fuses her targeted bodywork skills with an overarching sense of relaxation and peace. The body has innate healing properties and her goal is to help create a safe space for this process. Listening to her client’s goals and preferences and customizing a massage to fit their needs is of utmost priority. Sara greets her clients with a friendly, welcoming and calming atmosphere while delivering professional high quality service.
Her professional interests are varied, but she is eager to continue learning about our amazing fascial and lymphatic systems. Sara is also attuned to Level 1 Reiki as a way to explore the more subtle aspects of energetics and bodywork. In her personal time she is a proud auntie, cat and dog mom, avid reader, and enjoys fly fishing with her husband.
Sara believes that the less discomfort our bodies are in, the more capacity we have to be the best version of ourselves and the more energy we will have to do all the things we want to do! She named her studio TRUE to reflect these values–that by bringing our bodies into alignment we can shine as the truest version of ourselves.
